Aaaand in a disturbing little side note Nobitsu grows back his head. This is bad in SO many levels.
So see; the ending isn't depressing after all. It's just OMINOUS AND EFFING CREEPY!!!
I had some good news to offset the snowballing avalanche of badness that this round piled on, but I think I'll keep hold of it till the next round. I have a feeling by that time Joey will REALLY need a pick-me-up.

All should fear the ghost/zombie/demon wrath! Especially since Joey is going to come to the infuriating realization soon that he spent all that time fighting to get to the basement just to spend more time fighting IN the basement.
Yeah- it's almost as bad as, "The Princess is in another tower" gag.
"Oh, you just zombified an entire room of monsters, one of the few friendly(ish) people in the whole building, and have a psychotic demon-spawn tracking you down in a murderous rage- oh, and do you mind if you do some more fighting to get to some mysterious basement? Plzkthnx.
